My eQuals passes 1 million learner accounts

Aug 12, 2020

Today in a joint statement, Higher Ed Services and Digitary[1] recognise the milestone achievement marking 1 million learner accounts on the My eQuals platform. On the Platform, over 1 million students and graduates can access their official digital certificates, transcripts and supporting academic documents; and share them with employers, education providers or other parties.

My eQuals is the official platform of Australian and New Zealand Tertiary Education Providers, providing a nationally consistent digital credentials solution for institutions and learners alike. My eQuals empowers learners with a single repository for their verified official documents and their digital badges, recognising formal and non-formal learning experiences earned throughout their degree.

Jay Segeth, My eQuals Program Director says, “Reaching this marker after only 18 months of full My eQuals operations is a great testament to the instant adoption of the service by learners, and the continued commitment to secure digital credentials by the participating education providers and our technology partner Digitary.”

My eQuals is powered by Digitary[1], a leading platform provider for certifying, sharing, and verifying academic credentials through their proprietary Digitary CORE platform. Digitary enables millions of people to share their verified academic achievements online, securely, quickly and easily.

“Our greatest aspiration is to make a positive impact on the lives of learners and actively support their lifelong learning journey. The success in achieving 1 million My eQuals learner accounts is thanks to the community of institutions and learners who actively use the platform to share digital credentials securely” says James Murray-Beckman, Chief Operating Officer at Digitary.

My eQuals was established in 2017, with four pilot universities and has grown to cover 47 Higher Education Institutions across Australia and New Zealand. Participating institutions provision official documents securely from an institution’s own student management systems, and digitally certify the digital documents for students to easily share with whomever they choose.

HES and Digitary continue to work together to bring onboard new participants and evolve the My eQuals platform in recognition of lifelong learning, enhancing learner mobility and improving graduate employability through digital credentials.
