Education providers can now issue Digital Badges through My eQuals

My eQuals participating institutions can now issue digital badges through the My eQuals platform.
Learners can now view and share badges they’ve earned from participating education providers - alongside other tertiary education credentials - anywhere, anytime.
This is an important milestone as My eQuals continues to develop its functionality to become a record of lifelong learning.
Why issue digital badges?
Digital badges are visual representations of achievements, skills or knowledge that individuals can earn by completing a course or specific learning objective. Badges can be displayed on students’ online portfolios or shared on social media.
Giving learners a tangible reward and recognition for their efforts — that can be easily shared and verified as needed — is an effective way to improve engagement, retention and motivation.
Embracing national and global standards
My eQuals digital badges have been designed with existing regional and global credential frameworks in mind, including the Australian National Microcredentials Framework and the OpenBadges standard.
